Q: What does LABMUNC stand for?
LABMUNC stands for the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools Model United Nations Conference.
Q: What kinds of committees are at LABMUNC?
LABMUNC is proud to be hosting 20 Committees in total including 11 GA Committees, 1 ECOSOC Commitee, and 5 Crisis Committees.
Q: What is my position and how do I find it?
Positions will be sent to faculty advisors in September on a case-by-case basis after registration is completed. Delegates- check with your faculty advisors.
Q: Where can I find my background packet?
Background packets are posted under your committee page which you can find by the “Committees” button at the top of the page.
Q: When will background packets be available?
Background packets will be attached to each committee page in September.
Q: Where should I go with a question about committee?
Questions about committee should be directed to your chair. You can find their email in your committee’s background packet.
Q: Are position papers required?
Position papers are required for all delegations at LABMUNC VI. Any delegate who does not submit a position paper will be moved down an award. For example, if the delegate were going to receive "Best", they would receive "Outstanding" instead.
Q: What is the dress code?
Delegates are expected to wear western business attire to committee.
