In this committee, delegates will consider the future of space governance in the context of rapidly advancing technology. Despite existing treaties aimed at preventing the weaponization of space, the potential for space-based conflict remains high as nations develop capabilities to disrupt or destroy each other's assets. Delegates will explore collaborative solutions to ensure the peaceful use of space and address the challenges posed by new technologies. This will involve balancing national interests with the need for a stable and secure outer space environment.

Dear Delegates,
My name is Theodore Lach, and I am a sophomore here at Lab. I have been participating in MUN since freshman year, and look forward to continuing the activity throughout my time in highshool. At Lab, I am on our soccer and tennis teams. Outside of school, I have the basic hobbies of listening to music, and hanging out with friends, but I also enjoy cooking, and late night walks with my dog. This year, I will be chairing UNCSTD, and hope that we can come together to create a collaborative environment, while also fostering excitement and competitiveness. I look forward to seeing everyone this December!
