Dear Delegates, 

Hello. I’m Valkyrie Laurence, your chair for the TV/Pop committee, and a junior here at Lab. I’ve been involved with Model UN since my freshman year, and have had the opportunity to participate in many conferences and grow as a delegate throughout my time in MUN. Outside of MUN, I enjoy reading and writing - particularly short stories and poetry - as well as philosophy and game design. I’m also a captain for the Ethics Bowl team and I work on the theatre crew, and I engage in political advocacy. While the subject matter of the TV/Pop committee might be fun or silly, it’s still important to engage with the activity and take the committee seriously. In committee, I hope that we can strike a perfect balance of lighthearted and engaged, and I’m looking forward to chairing your LABMUNC VI TV/Pop committee!

My name is Shivan Sachdev, and I’m a sophomore who’s been involved in Model UN since the beginning of my freshman year. Outside of MUN, I play tennis, serve on student council, and have a strong interest in finance, entrepreneurship, and artificial intelligence. For this committee, I hope to see delegates develop creative and clear crisis arcs that show strong understanding and utilize one's character well. Whether this is your first conference or your tenth, I encourage you to take risks, stay consistently engaged, and use this opportunity to grow—both as a delegate and as a leader. I'm looking forward to seeing what you all bring to the table.
