Approximate Size: TBD Single - Del This committee focuses on the ongoing fight over affordable healthcare in the United States, a deeply polarized debate that touches nearly every American household. Senators must navigate competing visions for the nation's healthcare system, balancing financial restraints against partisan pressure and the limits of a divided chamber. As senators representing constituencies with vastly different needs, delegates must build coalitions across party lines and decide how far they are willing to compromise to deliver lasting reform.

Dear Delegates,
My name is Jaya de Jeu and I am a sophomore here at UChicago Lab. I have done MUN for a year and am extremely excited to be chairing the US Senate committee at LABMUNC this year! Outside of MUN I love golfing, traveling, and reading. I have always been interested in understanding government affairs and international politics. As chair of the this committee, I look forward to an exciting day of debate where I hope to see delegates collaborate, working towards developing comprehensive and detailed solutions. I hope to see thoughtful, respectful and innovative debate on Affordable Healthcare in the US this December!
