Dear Delegates, 

My name is Julian Rossi and I will serve as your chair for the UN Security Council and Under-Secretary General for LabMUNC V. Currently, I am a junior at Lab and have been a member of the LabMUN Team for 3 years. I believe Model UN is an experience that yields extensive rewards, helping people develop skills that will be essential in both their professional journeys and their personal ones too. Outside of Model UN, I swim competitively, engage in financial assistance to support Chicago's communities, and play the violin. Within LabMUNC and specifically, the UNSC, I hope you all get to enjoy what Model UN promotes as an activity, and leave LabMUNC V with a determination to pursue and achieve excellence in the activity. I look forward to seeing you all in December.

Hello, my name is Arjun Sawhney, and I am extremely excited to be the crisis manager of the UN security council committee. I joined Model UN in my early freshman year, and have since then been fully devoted to the club. MUN has taught me the importance of both public speaking and the ability to work collaboratively despite differences in opinion. MUN is a gateway to many life skills, and I have enjoyed learning everything I can from the club. Outside of MUN, I love to spend time playing tennis and basketball, as well as teaching both sports to younger kids at Lab. I also enjoy spending time with my dog, playing video games, and volunteering whenever possible. In this committee, you will all see a rapid change of events and will have to adapt as they come. I hope that you all can learn to work effectively with one another to come up with collaborative solutions, all while being able to maintain your own arcs throughout. Confusion is sure to arise, and this committee will be about learning to handle it both in the eyes of each other, as well as under the table. Throughout this committe, I hope we can all learn to adapt and have a great LABMUNC V.
