Dear Delegates, 

My name is Arjun Sawhney, and I will serve as your chair for the UN Security Council. Currently, I am a junior at Lab and have been a member of the LabMUN Team for 3 years. I believe Model UN is an experience that yields extensive rewards, helping people develop skills that will be essential in both their professional journeys and their personal ones too. Outside of Model UN, I play tennis competitively, engage in financial assistance to support Chicago's communities, and play the saxophone. Within LabMUNC and specifically, the UNSC, I hope you all get to enjoy what Model UN promotes as an activity, and leave LabMUNC V with a determination to pursue and achieve excellence in the activity. I look forward to seeing you all in December.

Hi everyone! My name is Debbie Lu, and I’m currently a sophomore at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. I’ve been involved in Model UN since middle school, continuing throughout my freshman year, and I’m excited to keep participating throughout high school. Outside of MUN, I do soccer and volleyball as well as lots of cooking, baking, learning and making up new recipes! For or this committee, I’m want to see a mix of both fun and thoughtful collaboration. I hope you all can learn from each other, build off of one another’s ideas, and work as a team to make this experience meaningful. I can’t wait to get started!

My name is Jay Adhi, and I am very excited to serve as your Crisis Manager in the UN Security Council at LABMUNC VI. I'm currently a sophomore at Lab, and this is my second year in Model UN as well as my second year helping run the UNSC. MUN is an activity that has taught me invaluable life skills that extend far beyond committee, such as impromptu public speaking and critical thinking. I especially enjoy hearing about the strategic and creative crisis arcs that my friends and fellow delegates come up with. Outside of MUN, I like to play, watch, and referee soccer matches and tutor younger students in math. I also enjoy traveling, volunteering, and spending time with my friends and my dog. I hope you all find this committee both rewarding and engaging, and I look forward to seeing you in December.
