Approximate Size: 40 single delegate delegations
In this committee, delegates will address the critical challenges of healthcare access in conflict zones, with a particular focus on the role of ASEAN in mitigating these issues. As conflicts continue to disrupt medical infrastructure and limit resources, the need for effective regional cooperation has become increasingly urgent. Delegates will explore strategies to improve the delivery of essential healthcare services, strengthen coordination among ASEAN member states, and uphold the principles of medical neutrality. Through collaborative discussions, they will work towards innovative solutions to ensure that vulnerable populations receive the care they need, even in the midst of ongoing conflict.
Dear Delegates,
My name is Angela Zhang, and I am a senior this year. I first started MUN—very informally—in 6th grade, and have been a member of the LabMUN competitive team for the past four years. In committee, I enjoy watching delegate dynamics and have an interest in international relations. Outside of committee, I'm an avid reader, amateur artist, and fencer. This year, I'm thrilled to serve as your chair in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). In particular, ASEAN's more focused nature lends itself well to creative, unique, and well-grounded solutions, as well as taking a deeper dive into specific country policies. I look forward to seeing you all debate, collaborate, and grow together throughout LabMUNC, whether it's your first conference or your last!
Best,
Angela Zhang
