Approximate Size: TBD Single - Del Set in Indonesia in 1965, this committee centers on the September 30th Movement, a pivotal Cold War political crisis that poses questions of presidential succession, ideological conflict, and humanitarian response amid intense factional tension. Whether part of a local militia, foreign government, or a political or religious group, delegates must find ways to pursue both their own agenda and that of the committee. As Indonesia seeks a path forward, this committee must navigate the complex issues facing the country as the whole world watches.

Dear Delegates,
My name is Jay Adhi, and I'm very excited to be your chair at LABMUNC VII. I'm currently a junior at Lab and serve as one of our Under-Secretary Generals. To me, Model UN is an activity that promotes crucial skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and, confidence in dealing with issues and people around you. Beyond MUN, I'm a tutor, volunteer, and an intern with an economics professor, and I love to try new things around the city with friends. My goal for this committee is for you all to both show your understanding of the topic and leave with new knowledge or friends. I hope you all find this committee both rewarding and engaging, and I look forward to seeing you all in December!
My name is June Ridgway, and I'm currently a sophomore here at Lab. I've been involved in MUN since the beginning of my freshman year. Outside of MUN I run track and field, enjoy reading and baking, and love spending time with my friends. I hope this committee will be a fun and engaging experience for everyone, and I look forward to seeing the fun and creative crisis arcs that you come up with. I can’t wait to see you all in December!
Best,
Jay Adhi & June Ridgway
