Approximate Size: TBD Single - Del The Cabinet of Hugo Chavez places delegates inside the inner circle of Venezuela's embattled government as turmoil threatens to topple the administration from within. Delegates must navigate growing demands for labor reform and weakened control over the military and pivotal industries. As advisors and loyalists to the President, this committee must deploy every tool at their disposal to consolidate and preserve their power as the walls close in from every direction.

LETTER FROM THE CHAIR AND CRISIS MANAGER:

Dear Delegates,

My name is Shivan and I'm a junior at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. I've been in MUN since freshman year and am so excited to be chairing the Cabinet of Hugo Chavez this year! Outside of MUN, I occasionally play chess, serve on the student council, and play on the varsity tennis team. I also have a strong interest in economics, math, and computer science. In this committee, I encourage delegates take risks, ask questions, and balance collaboration with leadership. I can't wait to see you all here!

My name is Otto Kallembach. I'm a sophomore at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. I've been doing Model UN ever since I started high school, and I'm very excited to now be chairing a committee for the very first time. Other than MUN, I also do track and field as an extracurricular, and I tutor for a YMCA program where I help middle schoolers with studying math for their high school placement tests to help them get into better schools. Hopefully, in this committee, we can create an environment where creativity and truly supporting other people's ideas is encouraged.
