In this committee, delegates will act as high-ranking members of President Nixon’s administration tasked with ensuring his re-election in the 1972 election. This committee, taking place in the months leading up to the Watergate break-in, will require delegates to determine exactly what measures they are willing to take to get Richard Nixon elected. With the Vietnam War raging and political extremism on the rise, delegates must find a way to balance the tensions at home and overseas while winning the election for Nixon. Committee members must decide whether they will play it safe and risk losing the election, or go on the offensive and potentially implicate themselves.
Note that this committee's dais staff has changed from the names originally listed on the background packet. Your chair and crisis manager are Adrian Greenstone and Gaia Sperone, as listed below.

Dear Delegates,
My name is Adrian Greenstone and I am a sophomore at Lab. This is my second year in MUN, and it has been one of my favorite parts of high school so far. Last year, I was an assistant crisis director for LABMUNC’s UNSC committee. I love how crisis committees give you the opportunity to be creative and think outside of the box in both frontroom and backroom. Outside of MUN, I enjoy acting and metalworking, and I am also a co-leader of Lab’s improv comedy club. I’m so excited to see you all collaborate, pass directives, and most importantly have fun.
Hi! I’m Gaia Sperone and I’m a senior here at Lab. My favorite part of MUN is all the friends I’ve made along the way. When I’m not doing MUN, I love reading, fashion, and photography. I look forward to being your crisis manager and seeing all the creative crisis arcs! Hopefully this committee will provide you with an opportunity to take risks and grow as delegates while being a fun experience. See you in December!
Best,
Adrian Greenstone & Gaia Sperone
